Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 September 2026
These Terms govern your use of Verdictara, an AI-assisted educational study platform focused on the law of England & Wales. Verdictara is operated by [SOLE TRADER LEGAL NAME], trading as Verdictara (“we”, “us”, “our”). Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].
1. Educational service
Verdictara provides study support for law students. It is not a law firm, does not act as a solicitor or barrister, and does not provide legal advice. Do not rely on Verdictara to make decisions about an actual legal problem.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. You must not misuse the service, attempt to bypass usage limits or security, interfere with the service, or use it unlawfully.
3. AI-generated content
AI output can be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. Citations and legal propositions should be checked against authoritative and current sources. You remain responsible for how you use material produced by Verdictara, including compliance with your university or assessment rules.
4. Free and Pro plans
The Free plan currently includes 5 AI questions in total. Verdictara Pro is currently offered at £5 per month or £55 per year before any tax that must be added at checkout. The price and billing period are shown before purchase.
5. Subscriptions and cancellation
Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing period unless cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the subscription-management facility provided in your account. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, so access may continue until then.
6. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. Any statutory consumer rights that apply to you are not excluded by these Terms. If you believe a payment is incorrect, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
7. Availability and changes
We may maintain, update or change Verdictara and cannot promise uninterrupted availability. We may change these Terms or the service where reasonably necessary, with appropriate notice where required.
8. Intellectual property
Verdictara's branding, software and original site content belong to us or our licensors. Your rights in material you submit remain subject to any rights necessary for us and our service providers to process it to provide the service.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, Verdictara is an educational tool and we are not responsible for losses caused by treating AI-generated study material as professional legal advice or by failing to verify legal authorities.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
